Family

Sorry it's been awhile since we have updated. Our computer crashed and you know how software companies are nowadays - they only allow you to have software on one computer. Mark was working nights and then things got hectic around here before he could remove the software off the old computer and finally put it on our new computer. So hopefully we are back on track now. Issue 14 from March never got published, but it is on the archive page. Since the last time we have updated, Ethan has turned 3, Mark turned the big 4-0, Colby is 14, and Noah is now 12 (and Tina just turned 36!! (yeah women don't tell their age)).

The DeMarche clan came for a visit in the early spring. It was a nice and crazy time with the three nephews keeping each other very busy. Poppa, T, Mimi, Uncle, Aunt Shelley, Gavin, Christian, and Caleb all piled in to a rented RV and hit the road. Next time you see Poppa ask him about driving an RV off the interstate in Atlanta! One day Mark, Poppa, Uncle, and Gavin went to the Transportation museum to see the old trains and some old cars. With such a big crowd we stayed around the house and let the other kids play. You can see pictures on our Family Page.

We have finally finished laying down sod in our yard. We completed the three retaining walls (with the exception of placing the stone steps into the last two steps) and built several flower beds in the process. It has been a very long and difficult process but we have transformed our yard from a barren moonscape to a place that the kids can enjoy.

With everything else going on we even got to spend some much needed down time in Florida. Since Noah attended summer camp at Busch Gardens, Mark, Tina, and Ethan decided to go to Busch Gardens too. We met Tina's Dad and his gal Lori down in Tampa for a Busch Garden weekend. After Tina's dad and Lori flew back home, Ethan, Mom, and Dad went to Sea World (we actually saw Noah and his camp at Busch Gardens and Sea World - imagine that!). Then we spent a couple of days with Tina's Grandma in Port Richey. Now we are very busy getting back to school. My how the year flies by so fast.

Because we have added SO many pictures, there will be no videos with this issue. Tina will need to work on them before the next issue. You can write her letters of encouragement and let her know how much you miss them!

Speedbump

Ethan is such a little monster - he keeps us running all day long. He tells us "Paige is my very best friend, but I need some boy friends" which is so cute. As soon as some of the younger boys in the neighborhood grow up Ethan will finally have some guys to play with. We think the girls like bossing him around. He is almost finished with his school curriculum. His favorite subjects are tracing, pasting, and cutting (in fact he likes cutting so much he even cut up one of his shirts). He loves to do his little projects and dad's cubicle is filling up fast with all his art projects. He loves painting so much it's hard to keep enough painting sheets around for him to paint.

PLEASE check out the what's new page.

We have also added a video section. The link is located on the photo gallery page and requires Flash to view the video (If you don't have Flash you can click this sentence to get it for FREE).

Thank you for those of you that have signed our new guestbook. We at least know that people are reading up on our family.

If you're new to the site, please see the archive section for complete past editions!!!

We are only going to press every two months or so.

Mark and Tina
Mark photographed another wedding in April which turned out very good. He is thrilled that the yard is finally finished so he can enjoy it (and not have to worry about an 18 wheeler pulling with 19 pallets of sod ever again!). As for Tina she's still hanging in there with all the kids and yard work. She's glad the yard is pretty much finished too. The planting of flowers is her favorite part anyway.

TidBit

Lots of our friends travel and live in different states, some states have very usual laws.
In Alabama, bear wrestling matches are outlawed.
In Utah it is illegal to cause a catastrophe.
In Washington, it's illegal to pretend one's parents are rich.
In Brookfield, Wisconsin, it is illegal to use another person's phone to make a prank call.
In Acworth, Georgia, all citizens must own a rake.
In Tennessee it is illegal to catch a fish with a lasso.

These are always good to know.
