Happy Birthday Mark! April 19th

.

House
Since the weather has been nice lately we have started working on the yard again. The side yard finally has beautiful grass growing but the rest of the yard is still a mess of Carolina red clay. We have finished a retaining wall and are now in the process of getting dirt to back-fill it to level out the yard. Afterwards we will put down sod so it doesn't erode away again. We have received 30 loads of dirt and will get 30 more, but we are not sure if that will be enough to fill in the back yard or not. Thanks to Dad DeMarche for helping out on the wall during his visit.

Until the back yard it finished the tree house has taken the back burner this spring. The tree house is almost complete, but during the winter we took a break from it but hope to finish it soon (that way the neighbor kids will quit asking about it). It will also be another project out of many that we can mark off our to-do list.

Speedbump Updates
Ethan turned two on March 6th. It's hard to believe how fast the years go by. When he was opening his birthday gift, Colby was trying to help and Ethan said; "No Colby, my birthday present." He is a big boy now. He even talks like a big boy: "please momma, sit down.", "thank you momma", "go get it dada", "i'll do it myself", and the list goes on and on. The funniest thing he has done is when he tooted and blamed it on Noah. It was great!!!
He has a great little personality and is as sweet as can be, but he does have some of dad in him (the rotten side of course!). Ethan loves to be outside. He has a friend down the street named Emma that he loves to visit. She is five now and a little firecracker. Sometimes he acts like he is calling her on the phone and he begs to go for rides in the stroller so he can go see her. Some days he cries to go see his Emma.
Ethan likes to boss around the dogs and his brothers. He likes to let them know when it's time to go somewhere and when they are being bad. Ethan also likes to help momma clean, so he is a good little helper.

Family

We went to Disney in February and had a blast. Ethan and the big boys loved being there. Ethan had fun on the rides, seeing the fireworks, and seeing all the characters. Even though he loves the characters, he didn't like getting too close to them. The first night we were there, he was so tired he actually begged to go to bed! We stayed at the Beach Club Resort, right next to Epcot. The whole family enjoyed the trip.

We've had visitors this March and April. Ma and Pa Schuler came from Illinois for a short visit and Mark's parents came to visit us this April. This was the first time we had seen them in seven months and we had a great visit. Mom DeMarche (Terry) was playing tennis near Atlanta. They won the tournament and will now be going to nationals in Florida at the end of April. Congratulations and Good Luck !!!!
