The New House

Many of you have already received a postcard containing all our new information and a picture of our new home taken during construction. We are enjoying our new home. Although we thought we lost some square footage, we actually have the same as before. We gained an extra toilet to scrub and more kitchen space. The kids' bedrooms are bigger, which makes the living room smaller than before. We did lose all of our built-ins for our TVs and books, so we are currently looking for hutches, bookcases, dressers, and more shelving to put our endless collection of books on. Just getting rid of some of these boxes will be wonderful!

Colby has taken the upstairs bedroom for himself and is enjoying his new apartment life. Speedbump and Noah are downstairs, on opposite sides of the house. There is a bathroom and office/photo room between them and Mom and Dad are on the other side of the house, guarding the kitchen.
We have gained some acreage (1.5 acres to be exact) so now we have 3.3 acres. No, Colby doesn't have to mow all of that land, most of it is wooded. We don't have to see our neighbors. The only thing missing is the swimming pool, but right now I'm not missing taking care of a pool. We will talk about that issue this summer when it's hot. We will try to get pictures of the house up on the web site ASAP. They may contain pictures of boxes in some rooms, but we are working on it!
We had to buy another $300+ mailbox again. What is wrong with these Home Associations?!! I hope at least this mailbox doesn't leak like the last one!

We are sorry we didn't get the chance to say goodbye to many of our friends, family and neighbors before we moved, but it happened so quickly and the new owners were really anxious to get in to the house. We truly miss everyone and hope everyone is doing well. We will see you again when we come to visit or when you come to visit us.

Mom and Dad
Mom is taking Indian Cooking classes (just 3 classes for level 1), just to get a better idea a what spices are truly used and something else to do besides unpacking.

Dad is working a lot of hours lately, 12 to 15 hours a day.

We are still trailing through a sea a boxes, but see the end near.
We finally got our Christmas present for each other, a JVC hard disk camcorder. Hopefully, that means we will send DVD's of the kids to our family .

Speedbump Updates
Speedy is almost 11 months now. He has 6 teeth and has taken a couple of steps now. Every time he sees the dogs, he tells them to "get". That's because they have found the best seat in the house is sitting right next to the highchair. Ethan can also ask for a cracker and we think he is saying Colby. He is giving the boys a run for their money, he can scream louder than them and can annoy them (sweet revenge on the parents part).

As of January 27th, he weighs in at 17 lbs 7 oz and is 29 1/2 inches long. Yes, he is like a string bean. Dad and the boys think it's time to give him a hair cut, but you know how that is, he won't look like a baby anymore.

Stuff
For some reason, Issue 4 was never put to print. When I left for Louisiana to pack up, the other editor forgot to put it in press (you just can't find good help these days).

We are sorry it took so long for this issue to go to press, but we have been very busy at the DeMarche press. Between moving, moving again, unpacking and having to reinstall Microsoft windows again. We haven't had a lot of free time. We hope you enjoy wasting your work time away.

Colby and Noah
Colby and Noah had their first belt testing for Tae Kwon Do. Besides doing their forms, they also had to break a board. We will receive news on their progress this week. Mom also had to break a board during testing (I showed them how it was done, even Grandmaster Pak told them to watch out for my sidekick, because it was so good.)
Colby and Noah are still being home schooled, in fact the boy next door is also home schooled They are making new friends. As we go to press, they both earned their yellow belt.

PLEASE check out the what's new page. Some page changes are minor (such as the addition of one or two pictures) and could be easily overlooked.
Also, we have been adding more and more email addresses to our ever growing list. So if you're new to the site, please see the archive section for complete past editions!!!
